V2 is an Italian maker of gate and door automation, and its motors and control boards turn up on gates all over Cumbria. I repair V2 systems whoever installed them.
V2 repairs
- Motors – swing and sliding, including worn gears, failed capacitors and seized motors
- Control boards – component failures, water damage, surge damage and settings
- Receivers and remotes – recoding, replacements and range issues
- Safety devices – photocells and safety edges
V2 Gate Motor Repairs in Carlisle
V2 motors and control boards are found on gates across Cumbria, and we repair them whoever installed them. Common faults include worn motors, control boards affected by water or surges, lost settings and remotes that no longer pair.

We know how V2 boards are set up, which helps us get your gate working again without guesswork.
Fixing V2 Automatic Gates Across Cumbria
We'll find the fault, explain it and give you a price before any work starts.
Once the repair is complete, we test the safety devices and run the gate through its full cycle. That's how we finish every job, on every brand, across Carlisle and Cumbria.
Control board problems
A lot of V2 call-outs come down to the control board, often after a storm or water getting into the box. Signs include:
- nothing happens at all, even with the power on
- the gate behaves oddly – stops in the wrong place, reverses for no reason, or opens on its own
- the remotes have all stopped at once
Sometimes the board can be repaired; sometimes a replacement board is the better option. Either way, I'll set it up and test the safety devices and forces properly afterwards. See gate motor and control board repairs.
Please don't open the box
The control box has mains electricity inside, and its settings control how hard the gate pushes when it closes. Leave it to an engineer.

Questions people ask me
Can you fix a V2 control board?
Sometimes. If not, a replacement board can normally be fitted and set up for your gate.
All my V2 remotes stopped at once. Why?
Probably a receiver or control board issue rather than the remotes themselves.
Do you work on V2 sliding gates?
Yes.
